What do you like most about your role as Chief Operating Officer?

The opportunity to work on a World Cup in your own country is a real privilege and something I never thought I would play a role in. Saying that it is both daunting and really exciting in equal measure as well as a challenge I am relishing. There is a lot to like and mention about the role but the biggest thing is the not knowing what each day will bring and having that element of surprise. Obviously being well planned there is very little surprise.

What is your favourite sporting memory?

Being a Newcastle United fan there are very few sporting memories with a happy ending in my lifetime. However during the Keegan and Robson era’s I have many happy memories such as the 5-1 win over Man United, 3 FA cup finals and some great European wins not forgetting those epic games against Liverpool. I continue to dream that my sporting moment is yet to come, ever the optimist.
