Fiji coach Joe Dakuitoga makes three changes to his side, with Henry Raiwalui, Joseph Ratuvakacereivalu and Tevita Toloi replacing Tui Kamikamica, Sitiveni Moceidreke and Ben Nakubuwai.

Scotland boss Nathan Graham has opted to make just the one change, as Bailey Hayward makes way for Guy Graham.

Head-to-head

This will be just the second ever meeting between Fiji and Scotland; their only previous encounter took place at the 2008 World Cup in Australia, with Scotland running out as winners on that occasion (16-18).

Fun fact

Scotland have been kept scoreless in the first halves of six of their last seven games at the men’s Rugby League World Cup; however, they are undefeated in their last four games at the tournament when they’ve scored any first half points on the day (W2 D2).

Fiji record

Fiji sit second in Group B ahead of the final round having moved into second spot behind Australia after their win over Italy.

The Bati will be looking to log back-to-back wins in men’s internationals in England for the first time after a resounding 60-4 win over Italy in Round 2 of the 2021 men’s Rugby League World Cup pool stages; they have won five of their 13 games in the country since their first visit in 1995.

They have won four of their last five group stage fixtures at the men’s Rugby League World Cup, as many as they had won in all their 11 group stage games prior to that period (W4 L7).

Scotland record

Scotland know that they must win to have any chance of progression to the knockout stage. After losing to Italy and Australia, they will be eliminated from the tournament should they lose on Saturday.

Scotland have a 20% win rate at the men’s Rugby League World Cup; after Lebanon’s win over Ireland in Round 2 of the 2021 tournament, Scotland now have the second-lowest win rate of any team to play at least four games in the competition (South Africa – 0% from 6 games).

Scotland (16) and Fiji (14) have made more good kick chases than any other teams at the 2021 men’s Rugby League World Cup; in fact, no other team has made more than 12.

Players to watch

Fiji's Taniel Sadrugu has made seven offloads at the 2021 men’s Rugby League World Cup with his side gaining 99 metres from those offloads; no team has gained more distance from a single player’s offloads at the tournament.

No player has defused more kicks in the 2021 men’s Rugby League World Cup than Scotland’s Lachlan Walmsley (8), with three of those eight kicks defused being bombs.

The Rugby League World Cup promises to be the biggest, best and most inclusive event in the sport’s 127-year history with men’s, women’s and wheelchair teams competing in 61 games across 21 venues throughout England. Tickets are available via rlwc2021.com/tickets
